Make your own stone mosaic pot for only a couple of dollars with this cool project. I picked up a ton of these old tiles from my local Habitat free Mandy Restore in a giant box for $2. To start this project, I began by taking a Ziplock bag and then I placed a couple of tiles inside the bag. I made sure that I sealed up the seal nice and tight.

Pay close attention to the top edge of the pot, the area just below the rim, and along the lower edge of the pot beneath the bottom row of tiles. Let the grout set for about 20-30 minutes and use a damp rag or sponge to clean the excess grout from the tiles. Be careful to not disturb the grout between the tiles.

1. Sealing the pot. Seal both the inside and the outside of the pot. You can use diluted PVA adhesive or a commercial sealer for this. We've used a primer & grout additive, which has a double purpose. You can use it to seal your pot before mosaicing & then add it to your grout with a water ratio of 50/50 to improve the flexibility of the grout.
